{Sermon Notes} for the new year

This was a break in our usual study through a book of the Bible to get us thinking about the new year and what would make it great, according to Jesus' definition of greatness.

The quest for greatness is often just a manifestation of pride.  

We want greatness, but in its place Jesus promises suffering.

Jesus says greatness can be found in serving others.

I especially liked all the questions our pastor posed at the beginning and then end of the sermon.  Lots to think on.
