  1. I stumbled upon your prayer journal tutorials in answer to my prayers to the Lord for help with my prayer life. I'm working on putting together mine now. I also have started the Ephesians Bible study which has been helpful as I've been memorizing the book of Ephesians this year. It's helped me to think more deeply about these precious truths. I've dabbled in calligraphy in the past, so searched out some lettering alphabets online, and have been having a blast working my way through the study. Thank you so much for your ministry.

  3. Have just found your journal information and am excited! I really can't draw so found your sketches tutorial helpful. Hoping that by slowing down to illustrate my thoughts I will learn more from my reading. Thanks!

  4. I love your blog. It's perfect for people like me that are not artistically inclined. :-) Do you have tutorials on doodling?

  5. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your free Bible study on Ephesians has been an answer to prayer for a richer encounter with scripture. We are even starting a women's study group with this lesson as our launching point. We will use many more I'm sure. I pray that God continues to bless you and your service for Him.

  8. So I because a Christian as an adult, never had any guidance of how to pray. I use to watch my grandmother pray and was amazed, but I was not raised in a Christian home. I purchased, Emilie Barnes book, "More Hours In My Day" and she talked about how she set up her prayer journal. So I modeled one after hers. Well, through the years, I've tried many others, ALWAYS, trying to perfect it. This year I went back to my old reliable notebook. I love your tutorial and Dawne's. So many more ideas. But like Dawne, I've struggled with what to do when I travel. Love her idea of taking pictures of the pages. Will definitely be doing that, plus it will lighten the load when packing. Or, I'll just take out my main page, haven't decided. I love placing my hands on the pictures of my children and grandchildren when I pray for them. I know you set a timer, but I just let the Lord lead me though my time of prayer. Sometimes it shorter, sometimes I linger in one area. I think of the line in the movie where she tells Miss Clarisse, "At first I couldn't even staying in there 10 minutes, now I can't hardly come out." or something like that.
Thank you for being so willing to share your journals. I pray it will help others and bless them in their walk with the Lord.

  9. The 30/30 app is no longer available for download. Do you know of another that you’d recommend as a replacement?

    1. Oh, I was so bummed to see that. I don't have any suggestions for replacement but this article looked promising: https://thesweetsetup.com/articles/favorite-iphone-timers/

  10. Kari, thank you so much for all the information and guidance (and great pictures and videos) to create our own Prayer Binders. I have been so overwhelmed with all the things there are to pray about. And while I'm idling as I'm overwhelmed many new things keep popping up to pray about!
Your Prayer Binder along with Dick Eastman's book, "The Hour that Changed the World" have been great for helping me to organize my prayers! I bought a 2" 5.5 x 8.5 3 ring binder and have been filling it as I see what works for me based on your ideas. I figured that would be plenty big. Ha! I am at half capacity at least. But I know I can archive pages I don't need anymore, so it will work just fine. This has been quite a journey for me as I pray all throughout the day "on the fly" but this is going to help me so much to pray in my "War Prayer Room" in so many specific ways. I have sticky notes all over my closet for things to pray for, but even with my glasses on, it was hard to see all the notes! And my eyes aren't that bad. The Prayer Binder helps so much! Thanks again! I am also reading "The Hidden Life of Prayer" through your Book Club. It is a little hard comprehending, so I really appreciate your posts that help guide me through the chapters. Still it is a good book. I pray God will bless you and your family.
