Stone Soup for Five: Is it worth it?

Is it worth it?

On the hard days... is it worth it?

It would be SO much easier for me to

to go WITH the flow...

to leave it undone
because it's a
never ending battle

to spend,
because I'm tired
of scrimping

to say WHO CARES,
if their room is a

to not follow up
and inspect.

To not require
effort in chores

to click for just a second... that turns into an hour

to get busy
instead of dig deeper

to quit
because it's hard

to not start,
because it reqires

to not teach

to not pray

to give up because it seems so hopeless

to not count blessings

but I'm not here for a life of ease.
Life is not a resort.

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;  and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
-Romans 5:3-5

And it is not done with my own effort

And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. -2 Cor 12:9

When Christ is at the center, when dishes, laundry, work is my song of thanks to Him, joy rains.  ~Ann Voskamp
