Stone Soup for Five: Fess up Friday

Fess up Friday

So I thought it would be fun to join the Fess Up Friday posts in an effort to confirm with my 3 readers that I am indeed a huge dork.

  • I'm trying to work on with the wii fit for 30 min a day, 5 days a week.  I still can't do a GIRL pushup.

  • I wish I didn't get bored with things so quickly.  My garden has been replanted for a couple weeks and it's already kinda just unexciting.  Maybe because it's not really doing much? Maybe I'll be jump up and down happy when it starts producing?

  • I went kinda crazy-neurotic-what's-wrong-with-mom nuts and gutted the boys room.  And NO ONE has said much of anything. Either I still have the twitchy don't talk to me about it glint in my eye, or they really don't care about their army guys, action figures, duplos, and broken junk.

  • I'm hoping my miserable, moody 13 year old son will once again join the human race. Soon.  We're working on NOT micromanaging, and letting him make his own choices and dealing with the consequences.  Needless to say, he almost constantly has a black storm cloud hanging over his shaggy, messy head.

  • I'm sure I'm almost 100% gray, and started getting gray hairs at 19.  Totally unfair, especially since my brain still feels 25 and I'm neither 19 nor 25.

  • Today was the last day at my boys' hybrid school, and it was bittersweet.  They are really going to miss their friends ... and I'm sure I'll totally warp their personalities by homeschooling next year.  (My 12 yr old just got out of school not more than 5 hours ago and said, dramatically "I need a friend to come over.... desperately.")  It's going to be a rockin' awesome summer!

  • I'm starting Weight Watchers officially tomorrow, so I'm thinking I should whip up brownies and enjoy them with my Starbucks Caramel Macchiato ice cream.  Aww yeah!

  • Oh, and I got that dreaded paper in the mail yesterday.  From the Doctor's Office.  The one that requests, kindly, that your come in for you annual exam. Ya. THAT "scoot down a little further" one. Awesome.

  1. I don't know where to start with my comments...

I think I had that twitchy glint in my eye tonight... and I'm on the rampage. I'll be googling chore charts, organization and spending a lot of time on your blogs getting ideas, because even though you're a dork, you're also pretty much awesome...

If you need an accountability partner, I need one. An honest one who will really ask me my 5 questions.

If you are intentional you can still get together with the boy's friends from school. My kids manage to see Kara's and Anne-Marie's quite often!

And last, but not least, I haven't been to see that kind of doctor since I had Cambria... she'll be 5 this year. Hmmm. Maybe I should go make an appt.

Love ya! I really do think you are amazing.

  2. What are your 5 questions???

Oh, if you want a really GOOD chore system, check out Managers of their Chores from the WCCLS library. That's what we're doing and it's working REALLY good.

Or we could meet up sometime too... which we should totally do anyway.

    Ugh @the doctor...
