Stone Soup for Five: February Odds and Ends

February Odds and Ends

Some cool things I ran across or enjoyed for February:

Pioneer Woman's Kicked Up Tatertot Hotdish

I was really unsure of this as it was so different than the tater tot casserole I grew up with (I omitted the jalapenos), but we all LOVED this version.  In fact, I made it my husband was out of town, but he got leftovers in his lunch and wrote a reminder note to himself to ask what that deliciousness was!  Find the recipe here.

Quick and easy dinners

And speaking of recipes, I picked up this cookbook at the library and made a couple recipes from it and I think I need to buy it (and I never buy recipe books anymore!).  They are very simple recipes but the beauty is that they are all done in one pan or skillet and are quick and delicious.

Brian Hull on YouTube

I came across Brian Hull on YouTube a few months ago.  He can do ALL the Disney voices.  My favorites are his Moana medley, his fast food drive-through orders and his impressions with the characters at Disneyland.  Take a peek, if you're a Disney fan you'll love him!

Super fun notebooks and greeting cards

I used to sew all the time and fell in love with this 3 pack of notebooks...

and then found the matching notecards...

and the journal.  I need them ALL!

Creative Bible Study

I loved this blog post on creative ways to study the Bible (and not just because she was kind enough to include my studies on the list)!  She has a lot of fun ideas!

Fixing broken underwires

I had a favorite bra that the underwire snapped on.  The rest of the bra was still in excellent shape and I was so mad!  BUT, I searched for underwires on Amazon, just wondering if it was a thing and it WAS!!  I figured out my size (download their wire chart in the description) and ordered them.  When I got them in, I was able to pick out a few stitches, pull out the broken wire and slide the new one in.  A few hand stitches to close it back up and it is as good as new!

and, Kristen's Philippians study for students is on sale right now too!
