Stone Soup for Five: Inductive Bible Study--with the Bible journal

Inductive Bible Study--with the Bible journal

For the last few weeks I've been enjoying digging deep into an Inductive Bible Study over the book of Philippians.  I stumbled across a free study guide with podcasts by Kay Arthur and dove right in... and was surprised and excited to see that it went SO perfectly with my Bible Journal!

There are so many ways you can use the Bible Journal.  For the Philippians study, I am marking words, then listing what I learn about each word/subject on a page in my journal.

On some pages, I'm just making lists of what I've learned about a subject...

On others, I'm making little pictures of what I've learned about a subject in the same way I mark that subject in the Bible.

Commands and instructions I underline in red in the Bible, then list what I've learned on my Commands and Instructions page in my journal.

Joy and rejoice I mark with a red cloud filled in with yellow (because yellow means God/Christ--and true joy is from God).  On this page I made both a list AND drawings.

I made sure to make an entry in my Table of Contents for each page too, for organized and quick lookup.

This study has been such a blessing and I love how it fits so well with the Bible Journal.  For more information on the study, go here: http://store.precept.org/p-1284-philippians-precepts-for-life-study-guide.aspx
