Stone Soup for Five: 1000 Gifts--Aaron edition

1000 Gifts--Aaron edition

My oldest is 13 and he can be a stressful handful most of the time.  But man, I love that kid.  Today he made me laugh quite a few times and we both took pictures of our gifts... his were mostly soda and food pics.  Mine were touches of him...

# 61  Random pics of our cat from Aaron seeing her doing something "cute".
(notice the ant she's hunting?)

#62  I love him from really bad hair....
 to much better hair.

#63  for his confidence that SOMEONE would want to buy his beaten up bike for $75 from Craigslist...
and the odd pics he took of it to post for sale.  Rusty chain? $75?? I'll take it!

#64  Random pics of Halo guys prepared for battle.
LOTS of these pics.
On MY camera.
All. the. time.

#65 For learning the value of hard work and earning money
(even in really REALLY bad jeans. ugh.)

#66  For the chalkboard wall in his room where we write messages back and forth,
and how very happy he is in his smelly room.

#67  for how he's stuck with skateboarding for a couple years
and is getting really good at it.

#68  For his odd sense of humor.
(this stuffed giraffe is a baby gift for a friend, but Aaron found it and places it randomly around the house...
watching me...
and hunting me...
At the time of this writing he has moved... and I've yet to find him.
*cringe*

#69  That he for some crazy reason LOVES these little crochet Ninja Minions I made years ago.
and he stuffed them all in this jar.
I think they're plotting his demise...

#70 And though I get frustrated and worn out with his teenager issues,
I really appreciate his great sense of humor

and how he makes me smile.

I pray God will take his stubborn heart
and make him stubborn
for the things of Christ.

  1. Love that last sentence. All your prayers are heard. I am so glad you guys are finding stuff to laugh about together!

And the army guys are hilarious! Right now, we are watching an 8 minute video of the kid's first dramatic presentation using all of their webkins with plans for more tomorrow... Oh dear.
