Stone Soup for Five: Thinking about Japan and prepardness

Thinking about Japan and prepardness

With this huge mess in Japan, and with Oregon sitting on the same kind of fault, and with all the rumors that we are well overdue for 'the big one' here, it has really got me thinking about being prepared.

I can go WAY overboard with this and be frozen in a state of semi-panic (like I have been for the last 5 yrs or so), but I think I can at least do a few minimum things for now and go from there.

One of the things I'd like to do is make a 72 hour emergency kit for Mr. Measure to keep in his car, and for us to have to grab and go if an emergency hits.  I really like how simple this sounds, and think we could rotate it out once a year when we go camping.

So I'll try it, and we'll see how it goes.

And I'll keep praying for Japan.
